Scrap Scrap Scrappin’

I am the biggest slacker as of late. Ok I’m not gonna lie, I pretty much have always been when it comes to starting projects and finishing within my own timeline. One of my bestest friends got married this summer in Vermont (as you probably already know from reading my previous posts) and I decided to make her a little scrapbook of some of her pictures, just to have as a memoir kinda deal. I got the idea after seeing Elise Blaha’s post where she used the Russell and Hazel mini binder and I loved it, so I wanted something similar. I started it almost right after we got back from VT, and planned on giving it to her within the next month…well 4 months later, I finally finished it.

WHO DOES THAT?? oh yea, me.

I gave it to her and her husband as a Christmas gift. It proved to be harder than it sounded in my head, but I was definitely happy with the outcome. Here are some pictures I took before I gave it to her. Her colors were orange, yellow, brown and creme. I started by cutting the pages to the appropriate size and sort of winged it from there…

All done! I was so relieved when she opened it and liked it. :)

other than that, I’ve been so stressed with school. It always seems like I have a love/hate relationship with the final week(s) before breaks. Christmas break, Spring break, Summer break. There’s always a finals week before that kills it for me. NEVERTHELESS I have a class tomorrow night and then I’m freeeeeeee. But for now, I need to get back to finishing some projects.

Only 8 days until Christmas!

Cute!

Which reminds me....I started a scrapbook about our first year of marriage...I planned to give it to Alex on our one year anniversary...well, seven months later and I'm STILL not done!
AHH! I should try to finish it now that I'm done with school and give it to him for Christmas. ;-)

what a thoughtful gift. i always admire people who are good at scrapping. i'm awful. i'm to OCD for the hobby i think. i get overwhelmed because i want all my pages to be different and yet coordinated, unique but cohesive, and then the thought of a 20+ page book just stresses me out. in college i bought a TON of scrapbook supplies with extra loan money i had (i know...so responsible of me) because my roommies were into scrapbooking so i thought it would be nice to try to partake in some common interests. well... i ended up sucking and used all the paper to make cards instead. i'm good at cards :).

seriously cute gift.
