Happy Mother’s Day!

I’m so thankful to even be celebrating this day with my mom because 5 months ago I didn’t think she would be here!! She is truly the most beautiful person I know and one of my very closest friends. She is funny,  genuine and loving, and I couldn’t have asked for a mom better than her. I’ve always known her to be so friendly, and I’ve never known someone who didn’t like her (She seriously makes friends EVERYWHERE we go!) She’s been married to my dad for 40 years… 40 YEARS!! and a mother to 5 kids. And she has been there for each and every one of us! 

I remember when I was a teenager, I was going through a rough time and she knew (mom knows everything, lol). One day I came home from school and she had gotten me a card and had left it in my room….just because. I don’t think she ever really realized what an impact that made on me to this day. I still think about it and tell Jake about it, because I knew she was always there for me and never made me feel like what I was going through wasn’t important to her.

My friends all love her and think she is just the cutest thing…and she is :). I’m so blessed. She’s MY mom and I’m her ONLY daughter….God sure knew what He was doing because I don’t think I would have wanted to share her.  Most of all she is so strong and so courageous…not only in life (which she proved in what she’s been through the past few months) but she is so strong in her faith, and encourages me daily.

I love you, mom. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everything you do for me, and what you are to me. Happy Mother’s day!
