SO ever since Chelseybell mentioned sbux Caramel Apple Spice in one of her blog posts, I grabbed on and now I've been obsessed with apple cider. We had a small cold streak earlier this week and it was beautiful outside. We went for a nice walk around our new neighborhood and it was so relaxing! It actually felt like Fall, surprise, surprise!

I really want to make some hot cider when it gets seriously chillier out, therefore I give you a recipe I found on The Kitchn:
Spiced Apple Cider
1 gallon
1 gallon fresh apple cider
10 cinnamon sticks
5 anise pods
3 teaspoons whole cloves
Orange slices for garnish
Pour the cider into a large pot and simmer with the spices for 10-15 minutes. If you want, tie the spices up in cheesecloth for easy removal later - or just let people deal with cloves in their drinks. Add the rum at the end. Garnish with a slice of orange.
so sorry I've been ignoring my blog this week! I have had such a busy week with the move, but I'm so glad to be settled in finally. We are still rummaging through boxes but we are almost done. I can't wait to start some more decor projects. I'm loving design sponge and apartment therapy these days. :)
