New Inspiration

I found new inspiring photographer that takes stunning portraits. I love her compositions and the colors...everything. She has a sort of vintage, bohemian style that I admire...d'art photographie
I'm taking notes and soaking it all in.

Here's a few shots from this weekends maternity session with Jill:

enjoy! and tell me what you think...

time to catch up!

OK! So the last few weeks (and weeks to come) have been JAM PACKED with things that I could talk about, however since I don't have that kind of attention span, I'm just going to hit on the highlights...

Last weekend Jake and I went to the ONE marriage conference in Gainesville, Georgia at Free Chapel. Last summer we had the opportunity to go to their Forward 2008 Conference, which is geared mainly towards a younger group of people, which is where we had heard about ONE, and thought it would be fun. We learned so much about marriage, and about God; it was incredible and I can't wait to go back next year. we are already planning it! I definitely encourage any couples, married or not, to attend. It's "relationship" changing haha! and RANDY TRAVIS led their worship service the following sunday, which was fantastic, he is such a cute little fella!

AND!!! there was a snow storm going through Atlanta while we were there so we followed it to Athens where they got 6 INCHES of snow, more than I have ever seen in my life, growing up in Florida. It was CrAzY! We had snowball fights, everyone's cars were slipping and sliding all over the road, transformers were blowing, trees were falling down haha. ok I guess you had to be there, but I enjoyed every freezing minute of it.

[me loving the snow]

World Market, a new favorite store of mine! so much neat stuff & so fun.

The above pictures were edited using levels and Pioneer Woman's ACTION set. Fun to play around with, check em out!

Oh and THIS (below) happens to be my husband, wearing a TSHIRT in the snow, yea he's from Vermont...who does that?

oh, one more thing(s).I've been pretty busy with my classes, since we only have 3 weeks left in the quarter, but I have some fun shoots coming up soon. And I've been working on an embroidery stitching project that involves 'staches of many colors! just thrifting for some vintage frames to fit and I'll be set! and I'll will possibly have some very exciting news to share soon...but you'll just have to wait and see, won't you?

xo,
jenn!

ash & jaime's e-session

This weekend, I did an engagement shoot for Ashlan and Jaime, some of Jake and I's close friends:

I haven't done a shoot in a few months, especially being so busy with school, but it was great! I've been experimenting more with Adobe Lightroom lately, and I must say I'm starting to prefer it over photoshop. I'm learning so much, it's ridiculous. Oh and did I mention I'm doing extremely well in all of my classes? chyea, straight A's!

My running portfolio website is jmartinphotography.carbonmade.com. Check it out! I am delaying the start of an actual website until I graduate with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Digital Photography, but who knows.
